One night, three ways to play
You and a conductor share the last carriage and a fifty-two-card deck. Suits and ranks are on the cards. The trump suit for a stop sits on the table, not on a second deck.
01 · Ninth trick
Three stops, nine tricks each. At the start of a stop you name a contract of four, five, or six. You lead, follow a suit you still hold, and try to take the trick. Two of the three stops have to be yours. A stop you take leaves one punch. On the next stop that punch can show one card still face down in the conductor's hand. Gentleman, Gambler, and Watcher play the other seat differently.
02 · Three stops
Draw a card, then ride on or bank. Banking wants seventeen points and at least two cards. Over twenty-one busts the stop. Two stops have to clear before the ride is made.
03 · Daily ticket
Five cards stay until tomorrow. Three hands. Choose three, and you may swap once. Two of the three hands need a pair or better.
What remains
The logbook and the badges stay on this iPhone, with or without a network. You do not sign in, you do not post a hand, and there is nothing to buy. In settings, a won trick can skip the clash, follow-suit marks can be shown, and the light sweep can be held still. The words follow the language of the iPhone.
